We are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled Category Manager to run end to end strategic procurement processes for the Highways Infrastructure category of spend within one of our local government clients based in Liverpool.

The Category Manager will support the Procurement Manager in the development and implementation of the procurement strategy, this will involve working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the strategy is understood and that effective support for the strategy is achieved. They will be responsible for the delivery of efficiency savings by adopting a strategic category management approach to procurement, and working closely with service areas to control and manage expenditure. They will design, develop, implement and refine procurement and supply policies and strategies that result in improved value for money for the client.
